America's Treasures Group
Destination Culture's strategic partner is the America's
Treasures Group (ATG), a coalition of the leading national professional
service organizations for cultural heritage and performing arts organizations.
Destination Culture is creating and marketing www.destinationculture.com to
the cultural tourism industry; the organizations represented in the ATG
promote and protect the interests of their member institutions.
The ATG's members currently include the American
Association of Museums; the American Symphony Orchestra League; Association
of Performing Arts Presenters; Dance/USA; OPERA America; and the Theatre
Communications Group.
The ATG's primary interest is the joint promotion and
marketing of U.S. cultural heritage and performing arts to the travel and
tourism industry and to related industries for the benefit of its members
and the field at-large. To this end, the ATG formed a strategic partnership
with Destination Culture to build, support, and promote this first
comprehensive database and website of the nation's cultural heritage and
performing arts attractions. The goal of the partnership is to increase
cultural tourism patronage and revenue for all ATG member institutions. If
